I Look Fly Yeah, I Look Good

This is part 1 of a 2 part review! Woop woop! Get excited ya'll. If I don't see confetti being flung about by naked revelers, I'm going home.

So I got a lil love from UPS today. In the package were some fun, shiny goodies and a note from a fan.

"I know you've been kinda bummed lately, so I thought these would cheer you up! I also know you said that you want to do more reviews on your blog so... 2 birds, 1 stone! Enjoy!"

Inside the package were some super groovy nail polishes, as well as some new makeup! Stuff I've not tried before! Huzzah!

Today I will review the makeup bits, leaving the nail polishes for a second part. Oh yes, I will be leaving you hanging!

Sorry, kitty.

So here we go!

First we have a foundation and pressed powder set (not sold as a set) from Maybelline's FIT me! line.

The foundation is #310 Sun Beige, and it's in their Shine Free stick form. It goes on almost powdery, which I prefer to super wet liquid foundations. It matches My skin tone almost perfectly, which is unusual. As a mixed chick, I have a hard time finding suitable foundations. It took a few layers to conceal My dark under-eye circles, but it hid blemishes super easily. Huzzah!

The pressed powder, #315 Soft Honey also suits My skin tone well, but it's a tiny touch darker than the foundation. It's not the most efficient at adding to concealment, but it works. I don't like the puff applicator that comes with it though. It's super thin, and the edges are a bit sharp. I can easily replace it, easily too since the space they have in the compartment under the powder is spacious. Useful for storing money and other tiny things as well!

Next is a lip liner from one of My favorite brands, Rimmel. It's #070 Enchantment, from their Exaggerate line. It's a great mauve with a hint of magenta. The tip of the liner has a nice slant, and it's auto "sharpening" which I love.

Lastly is... OMG SQUEEEE IT HAS GLITTER!!!!!!!! Ahem... sorry. It's Hard Candy's Plumping Serum volumizing lip gloss in #416 Spark. It's a stunning, pearly glitter in a pale pink with a pale gold shine. I am in love. It does the whole Sting Your Lips thing to plump them. I really... I just can't be more excited right now. Holy stuff...

So here's the final look. (The eyeshadow I have on is a blend of a pale blue and gray from a Profusion Pro eyeshadow pallet that I've had for years.)
